Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria is a Romanian actress. She won an award called the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress during The Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. The actress speaks French, German, English and Romanian well. Her father is a theater professor for one of Romania's finest theater schools. She was awarded the Best Female Actor Award for the Year in 2000 at the Gala for Young Actors in Mangalia. In 2008, she was named as an European Shooting Star" by the European Film Promotion Board. As an actress with Romanian descendance, Anamaria Marinca made her debut on the screen in the TV series British-Canadian Sex Traffic for which she won the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. Aside from her brilliant performance in Sex Traffic, Anamaria Marinca will be remembered for her role in the Romanian artist film 4 months 3 Weeks 2 Days. This film received a number of awards, including the European Film Award Best Actress given by the The London Film Critics. In 2007, she was a part of in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 saptamani si 2 days (4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 days) produced by Cristian Mungiu. The film won the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two other prizes (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI award). Youth Without Youth by Francis Ford Coppola was another film that she was in. In 2008, she played Yasim anwar in the BBC mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca played the role of Yasim Anwar in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, as well as in the Romanian drama Boogie. She later had a prominent role in the 2014 film Fury in which she played a German woman known as Irma Aunt of Emma.
