Tommy Lee-1-819x1024Thomas Lee Bass, a Greek-American musician, who was an original member Motley Crue's heavy-metal group, is an American-Greek-American musician. Along with being the group's drummer for a long time, Lee created the rap-metal band Methods of Mayhem and has explored solo projects. Lee is a proponent of animal rights and PETA. In 2010 Lee wrote to Terry Prather, the president of SeaWorld, protesting the treatment of Tilikum the orca. Lee felt that the animal was due to be released, and he stated that SeaWorld would not permit this to happen, as Tilikum is their principal donor of sperm. Lee expressed his disgust at SeaWorld's inept and bizarre method of obtaining Tilikum fertile. Lee said he wanted to prevent further tragedies of trainers being killed, as these tragic events were a result of the whales' aversion to captiveization.
